Our Story
— Mark Edwards (Because She Loves Me)
We are many things: technologists, gardeners, nature & animal lovers, wine makers (and drinkers), artists…
In 2015 we made an investment in Pinot Noir vines planted in a local vineyard in the Dundee Hills AVA of the Willamette Valley. Prior to this, we really didn’t know much about this varietal until we had visited a few times prior to 2015. This was now opening up a whole new chapter for us in this wonderful adventure. We started making annual pilgrimages to Oregon. We were happy to help where we could, setting fence posts and preparing for trellising or whatever else needed to be done. Fast-forward to 2018 and we officially moved to Oregon, settling in Newberg nestled at the base of the Chehalem Mountains.
In addition to our full time careers, we harvest together with family and friends, and continue to invest in the winery and wine production. We produced the first vintage (2018) of our own label of wine: Vined.
We are also continuing our work with the art we enjoy so much. Having recently completed our in-home glass studio – something we had been without since moving – we are excited to start creating for family, friends as well as for purchase. In addition to returning to our Stained Glass work we are also adding digital art, barrel art and more to our catalog.
Leaving behind friends, family, co-workers was not an easy decision by any means, but it is one we would gladly repeat.
